Maximum pride in the completion of one of the largest projects: maxCologne.

600 km of data cables, 425 km of NYM cables, 9,500 IT connections, 6,800 project-specific LED lights and 165 folders of final documentation are just a few of the figures that speak for themselves. And for our work on one of the largest projects that Elomech has ever completed: maxCologne.

The go-ahead for the project with an order volume of 14 million euros was given in 2011 – with the order for the maxCologne office complex on the Cologne-Deutz Bridge. The former Lufthansa headquarters was to be completely remodelled in the areas of high voltage current and information technology.

One project, two tenants, three areas: The task was to construct a modern, functional, energy-efficient and DGNB-compliant office building for the two major tenants Lanxess and Görg – in the three parts “high-rise” (22 levels), “plinth” (3 levels) and “block building” (10 levels). This included the creation of a construction-accompanying implementation plan, taking into account all project-specific requirements with subsequent assembly planning. The speciality chemicals group Lanxess had a particularly demanding requirement for the lighting of its offices and corridor zones in the high-rise building. A standard solution was not an option here, so a project-specific LED luminaire was developed in close collaboration with the luminaire manufacturer Tobia Grau, which was used in a quantity of 6,800. A shining example of the customised solutions from Elomech Elektroanlagen GmbH.
